MEDICAL CODING Medical coding involves converting diagnoses, treatments, services, and supplies into standard medical alphanumeric codes. This is just the act of converting crucial medical data into understandable codes in order to capture medical records and facilitate proper medical invoicing. International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) are the two main categories of medical codes now utilised in healthcare settings.
